BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead Wednesday night.
The victim was identified as Cameron Phillips, 16, of Baton Rouge.
He was gunned down on Vickers Drive near Belaire High School around 10 p.m.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Phillips was shot to death while walking home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect has not been identified and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
This shooting was less than a mile from another deadly shooting earlier in the day. That one happened on North Sherwood Forest Drive at Chalice Drive around 11 a.m.
