LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA (WAFB) - State Troopers say a man has been killed after a two vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The crash happened just before 7:30 pm Friday on LA Hwy 63 in Livingston Parish.
Investigators say Eric France, 35, was driving eastbound on LA Hwy 63 when he attempted to make a left turn. France turned directly into the path of Cary Infinger, 36, who was driving a motorcycle westbound on La Hwy 63. Infinger laid his motorcycle down on its side in an attempt to avoid hitting France but he was unable to stop and hit the passenger side of France's vehicle.
Infinger was ejected from the motorcycle, he was wearing a helmet but sustained serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Impairment is not suspected on the part of either driver. The crash remains under investigation.
