Mardi Gras parade murderer suspect escapes during trial

Akeem Gailes was supposed to go on trial today for a murder at a Mardi Gras parade, but he escaped from the courthouse during the lunch break.  Gailes was recaptured a short time later.  What does this mean for the trial?  WAFB's Jim Shannon will have more tonight on 9News at 5.

The 2013 Legislative Session comes to an end tonight at 6 p.m., and it appears the breakaway southeast school district will not happen this year.  So what's next for the group behind the movement?  WAFB's Kelsey Davis will have more tonight on 9News at 6.
