BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police now know the type of car driven in a deadly hit and run crash Saturday.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reported officers are looking for a white 2008-2011 Dodge Challenger.

Louise Hunter, 47, of Baton Rouge died at the hospital after getting hit by a car on Greenwell Springs Road, about halfway between North Ardenwood Drive and North Lobdell Boulevard.

Investigators said witnesses told them Hunter was trying to cross the road when the crash happened. The car then drove off.

According to detectives, the car should have damage to the front passenger side. It should also be missing the mirror on that side.

Anyone with information about the car or driver is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
