CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Restaurant owner and long time victim's advocate Jeff Ruby is donating $33,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis.

Ellis was gunned down while on duty on Saturday, May 25.

Ruby's donation raises the total reward fund to more than $130,000.

Ruby made national headlines in 2007 when he offered $100,000 for information leading to the discovery of Stacy Peterson, the wife of Drew Peterson, who was indicted for the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio and convicted of her murder in 2012.

Ruby also made headlines after reportedly refusing to serve O.J. Simpson and asking him to leave his Louisville steak house.

Meanwhile, people can donate to either the reward or the memorial fund. You can mail a donation to Chief Rick McCubbin, Bardstown Police Department, 212 Nelson County Plaza, Bardstown, KY 40004. Please specify which fund you wish to donate to.
