GONZALES, LA (WAFB) - A pizza delivery man is now behind bars after he was accused of altering receipts to show bigger tips.
The Gonzales Police Department arrested 20-year-old Jordan Morgan after a manager of the restaurant found discrepancies in customer credit card bills referencing the amount of tips that had been applied to a couple of bills.
Morgan was hired by the restaurant May 9, 2013 and on May 18, he is suspected of altering the credit card receipts. He was fired shortly after the discrepancies were found.
Morgan was charged with two counts of forgery and theft. The Gonzales Police Department would not release the name of the pizza restaurant chain where Morgan was employed.
The Gonzales Police Department encourages everyone to always review their credit/debit card transaction statements, especially for transactions where tips may be added and report any suspected fraudulent activity to the proper authorities.
