NCAA regional tickets on sale for season ticket holders

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Tiger baseball fans are gearing up for the start of the NCAA regionals this weekend at Alex Box Stadium. That means getting in line early for tickets. Season ticket holders got first dibs Tuesday on regional ticket booklets, some buying more than others.

"I sell all but two tickets to friends. But I have been able to pick up tickets to help people who can't get them," said Donei Lacomb who bought 14 tickets.

Regional booklets are on sale for $50 to $100 for a weekend pass to all the games, depending on where you sit.   The general public will have the opportunity to buy leftover seats beginning Thursday at 8 a.m.

"When Skip came I took a chance. I said maybe we'll have something and we did. So I've been coming every year since," said 84 year old Joseph Scardino, who's has been buying tickets for 30 years.

Individual game tickets will go on sale Friday morning for $10. Some fans have already prepared for their team to make it to Omaha. Lacomb already has his seats for the World Series.

"I normally go almost every year and watch the first four or five days, because all the teams are in it. It's the best time to if you haven't gone," says Lacomb.
