The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single vehicle fatal traffic crash on Head-O-Lake Road, south of Beck Road, in Whiteford Township, Michigan.
Luann J. Sager, 25, of Petersburg, was operating a black in color 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty 4x4 pickup truck northbound on Head-O-Lake Road, when for unknown reasons, she traveled off the roadway to the right (east), entered a ditch, drove over a private driveway culvert and struck a utility pole.
Sager's truck overturned, striking a tree, and re-entering Head-O-Lake Road coming to rest on its passenger side across both travel lanes facing northwest.
Sager was ejected from the truck during the overturn, landing in a ditch. She died as a result of the crash.
Sager was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, however, both air bags did deploy.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 734-240-7768.
