Trio arrested on drug charges after meth found during search

BAYOU VISTA, LA (WAFB) - Detectives said three men face drug charges after meth and other drugs were found inside a home, along with two small children, Monday evening.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrested Christian Marcel, 33, of Bayou Vista, Cody Grandin, 36, of Bachelor, and Paul Guidry III, 36, of Patterson.

Officials said narcotics agents Marcel's home and found the drugs. According to deputies, the meth had an estimated street value of about $1,400. They added Grandin and Guidry were at the home at the time of the search. Agents reported finding the following drugs:


Klonopin pills

Ambien pills

Roxicodone pills

Fioricet pills

Drug paraphernalia

SMPSO said the two kids were released to a family member.

Marcel was booked on the following charges:

Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute

Distribution of methamphetamine

Possession of Schedule II (Roxicodone)

Possession of Schedule IV (Ambien)

Possession of Schedule IV (Klonopin)

Possession of Legend Drug (Fioricet)

Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile

Violation of CDS law (Drug Free Zone)

Possession of drug paraphernalia

No bond was set for him.

Grandin faces charges of:

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of Schedule III (Subutex)

Possession of drug paraphernalia

He is also being held with no bond.

Guidry is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and has a warrant from the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office for failure to appear on a charge of non-support.

His bond was set at $3,550.
