NOGALES, AZ (CBS5) -

A Mexican national was arrested Friday after federal officer found more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana concealed in a charcoal shipment.

The smuggling attempt was foiled at the Port of Mariposa commercial facility.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers used an X-ray scanner during commercial inspections to uncover the drugs.

The pot, valued at $1,014,350, was concealed in a shipment of 1,000 bags of charcoal.

The driver of the rig was referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
