JaCoby Jones will be held out of starting lineup due to hand injury

From LSU Sports

BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU junior second baseman JaCoby Jones has been diagnosed with an injury to his left hand and will be held out of the starting lineup during this week's series versus Ole Miss, coach Paul Mainieri said Thursday.

"We're certainly disappointed that JaCoby won't be in the lineup this week," Mainieri said. "The good news is that it appears that he can be back in the lineup next week for the SEC Tournament.  Fortunately, we're in a position right now where we can absorb this blow and have JaCoby back next week."

Mainieri said Jones will be on the active roster for the Ole Miss series and could see action as a pinch runner.
