BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The suspect arrested in a Baton Rouge gas station beating is facing additional charges, but not related to that incident.

Donald Ray Dickerson, 41, is now accused of failing to register as a sex offender.

He was arrested for allegedly punching a man at the Chevron gas station on Scenic Highway off Plank Road Sunday night.

When he was booked, Dickerson told authorities his address was on Ontario Street. The address didn't match the address he listed as a registered sex offender.

Dickerson was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 1991. He has been charged with failure to notify of change of address.

He and two others are accused of attacking a family at the gas station. The victim told investigators Dickerson told him, "you're in the wrong neighborhood," and that "he was not going to make it out."

The 41-year-old victim suffered a broken nose, a broken eye socket and cuts to the face.

Dickerson was charged with second-degree battery. The other two suspects were each given a misdemeanor summons for simple battery and released on sight.
