Nogales border agents seize $356K of cocaine

NOGALES, AZ (CBS5) -

A man was arrested for trying to smuggle more than 39 pounds of cocaine into the U.S. on Thursday.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers said they stopped Jose Fermin Arrellano-Guzman, 38, of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico at the border and a canine found drugs in the center console of his SUV. Officers found 15 packages of cocaine. The drugs were valued at $356,000.

Arrellano-Guzman was referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
