Crime Stoppers tip leads marshals to shooting suspect

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Authorities said a Crime Stoppers tip led them to a man wanted in connection with a shooting two days before the start of 2013.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said Sinica Williams, 36, of Baton Rouge was arrested Tuesday by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Investigators added he was found in Baton Rouge. His picture was shown on television April 2 and police asked for the public's help in locating him.

Williams is accused of shooting a man in the forearm. The shooting happened in New Roads on Dec. 30, 2012.

He faces charges of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.
