LSU bounced backed in a major way last week starting with a Tuesday win against McNeese State and a Thursday - Saturday series sweep of #19 Florida.
The Tigers took care of the Cowboys in their early week contest, 7-3, and then put it in high gear beating Florida 3-2, 5-0 and capping off the sweep with an 18-6 rout of the Gators.
Aaron Nola pitched his fourth consecutive complete game and earned his second shut-out of the season and was also recognized as this week's SEC Pitcher of the Week.
Jacoby Jones highlighted LSU's impressive 18-6 victory with a grand slam against Florida. Jones upped his season batting average by 100 points.
LSU raised its overall record to 43-6 and 19-5 in the SEC. The Tigers lead Arkansas by 3.5 games in the SEC West and trail Vanderbilt by 2.5 games for the overall SEC lead.
LSU is ranked number three this week in the Collegiate Baseball Poll, USA Today/ESPN Poll and Baseball America Poll.
Next up the Tigers travel to Texas A&M for another nationally televised series. The Aggies swept Missouri this weekend and raised their overall record to 26-22 and 10-13 in the SEC.
