BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Three people have been arrested since Friday in a Baton Rouge crime that happened more than a year ago. The U.S. Marshal's Office arrested the first suspect in Ontonagon, MI on Friday. The other two were arrested Monday in the greater Baton Rouge area.
BRPD reports 19-year-old Mason Chiapuzio was arrested Friday in Northern Michigan for his suspected involvement in the shooting death of Brandon Harris on April 15, 2012. The shooting happened in the 1400 block of Sharlo Avenue.
Chiapuzio will be extradited back to Baton Rouge and will be charged with first degree murder.
After Chiapuzio's arrest, two more suspects believed to be involved with Harris' death were arrested.
Tressie Newberry, 40, of Baton Rouge and Jennifer Prine, 27, of Watson were arrested Monday.
Newberry and Prine are accused of helping Chiapuzio plan Harris' murder. They will be booked into the EBRSO Parish Prison on first degree murder charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
