SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Three juveniles are facing serious charges for allegedly throwing objects along a stretch of I49 near southeast Shreveport on Friday.

Shreveport police received numerous calls just before 9 p.m. from motorists reporting that objects were being thrown on to the interstate, damaging nearly a half a dozen vehicles. Officers arrived and met with several victims who told them that their vehicles were struck by foreign objects thrown from above as they traveled southbound near LA 3132.

While no serious injuries were reported, police say at least two people were taken to area hospitals for treatment of minor injuries resulting from flying glass.

During their investigation, police identified three juvenile males ranging in age from 12 to 15 as having possible involvement in the crime.

The trio of suspects were later taken to police headquarters accompanied by their parents.
Following interviews with authorities, all three suspects were booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Complex where they face numerous counts of felony aggravated criminal property damage.

As the investigation continues, authorities urge anyone with information about this crime to contact Caddo Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or on their website at lockemup.org
