Firefighter sustains minor injury during Bond Hill fire

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Fire crews are investigating the cause of a house fire in Bond Hill.

Crews were called to a two-story house in the 5200 block of Road Island Avenue just before 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Crew arriving at the scene reported heavy smoke in the area. Flames were coming from both floors of the structure. 

Neighbors of the building say the house was vacant.

A firefighter sustained a minor injury while working outside the home and was transported to the hospital.

Damage has been estimated at $30 thousand. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
