Suspect wanted after shooting at Toledo after-hours club

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police have identified the man they believe is responsible for another shooting overnight. It happened at an after-hours club on Dorr Street near Pelee Street in central Toledo.

Police say Anthony C. Smith was walking out of the club with the victim, Vincent Pittman, when Smith went to his car and grabbed a handgun. He then shot Pittman in the chest. Detectives say they found about 12 rounds at the scene.

According to the police report, Pittman remains hospitalized with a bullet lodged near his heart.

A warrant has been issued for Smith. He is described as a 27-year-old black male, with black hair and brown eyes, 27 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds.

Anyone with information should contact the police.
