ZACHARY, LA (WAFB) -

Detectives are looking for a woman seen trying to use stolen checks at Wal-Mart on two occasions.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office said the suspect attempted to use the stolen checks at the Wal-Mart in Zachary on March 17 and March 28.

Deputies said they are investigating two reports of checks stolen from mailboxes in the northern part of the parish. They reported the stolen checks were changed and made out to Wal-Mart. However, the store employee did not accept them.

Investigators said the same woman tried using the stolen checks both times.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
