Judge denies bond for 18-year-old accused of killing woman

PONCHATOULA, LA (WAFB) - The 18-year-old man accused of gunning down a woman last week has been denied bond.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said Ryan Pourciau has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of April Vanderlinden, 39, of Ponchatoula.

According to investigators, Pourciau killed Linden after a series of run-ins with her family.

Pourciau was shot in the shoulder by a sheriff's deputy after he was found hiding in the victim's home the next day.
