BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

Lee Greenwood will be the first headliner to perform at the Margaritaville Resort Casino in Bossier City when it opens early this summer.

Greenwood will take the stage at the Paradise Theater on Thursday, July 4.

According to the Paradise Theater entertainment schedule for July 2013 released Thursday morning.

George Jones was scheduled to perform there on Saturday, July 13. Jones died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after being hospitalized with fever and irregular blood pressure. There is no word yet on who might replace Jones on the schedule, if anyone.

The Marshall Tucker Band is scheduled to perform on Friday, July 26.

According to the Margaritaville Resort Casino, "The headliner entertainment will be housed in a state-of-the-art, one of a kind, 900-seat performance hall, complete with a VIP balcony room and a club level, ensuring that there is not a bad seat in the house. The theater is part of a resort entertainment complex featuring the famous "It's 5 O' Clock Somewhere" Bar and four dining venues, including a spectacular 325-seat buffet, a 400-seat entertainment-filled Margaritaville Restaurant, riverfront fine dining in Jimmy's Seafood and Steak restaurant, a full service spa and tropical themed outdoor pool and bar area."

Tickets for July shows will go on sale Friday, April 26 at 10am via Ticketmaster.

The casino features a 30,000-square-foot, single-level casino. It will have more than 1,250 slot machines and 55 table games.

The company started taking reservations for the 18-story, 395-room hotel in early April.

It's set to open in June.
