LSU plays host to Tulane Wednesday night at Alex Box Stadium with first pitch at 6:30 p.m.

The second ranked Tigers (37-4) begin an eight game homestand against the 20-20 Green Wave.
"LSU-Tulane is a tremendous rivalry, and we always look forward to meeting them," said LSU coach Paul Mainieri. "They've been playing well since we faced them about a month ago, and I know they're going to come here with a lot of intensity and enthusiasm. We're now in the final stretch of the regular season, so these next few weeks will be very important in helping us achieve our goals."

LSU will start junior Kurt McCune on the mound against the Green Wave.

LSU plays another important SEC series Friday against South Carolina. LSU is 15-3 in the SEC and currently trails Vanderbilt (16-2) by one game. The Commodores will play Miss. State at home this weekend before traveling to South Carolina. LSU continues to lead Arkansas by four games in the SEC West.

LSU is led by freshman shortstop Alex Bregman and senior first baseman Mason Katz. Bregman is hitting .414 while Katz is hitting .397 with 13 home runs.

LSU has won 19 of its last 21 games and leads the Tulane series 176-125-3.
