No-Bake German Chocolate Mounds - Holly Clegg

German chocolate ingredients and oatmeal in these trouble-free, no bake delicious cookies – sure to cure that impulsive last minute sweet tooth.

Makes 30 (1-chocolate mound) servings


6 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup cocoa

1/2 cup skim milk

1 cup mini marshmallows

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon coconut extract

2 cups old-fashioned oatmeal

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/3 cup flaked coconut


1. In nonstick pot, combine butter, sugar, cocoa, milk, and marshmallows, cooking over low heat, stirring until smooth and marshmallows dissolved.

2. Bring to boil and boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Stir in vanilla, coconut extract, oatmeal, pecans and coconut. .

3. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until firm.
