PATTERSON, LA (WAFB) - A 41-year-old man accused of parking a vehicle on train tracks, which was then hit by a train, faces traffic and drug charges.

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said Lionel Jones of Waggaman, which is in Jefferson Parish on the West Bank of the Mississippi River, was arrested Sunday morning.

Authorities said a deputy patrolling the Ricohoc area of St. Mary Parish, which is near Patterson, was called to a crash involving a train and a vehicle.

The deputy reported he found Jones walking on US 90 and after talking to him, learned he was involved in the crash. Upon further investigation, the deputy said he found Trenbolone in the vehicle.

Trenbolone is an anabolic steroid mainly used by bodybuilders. It is classified as a Schedule III drug.

Jones was booked into the parish jail and booked on charges of parking prohibited in specified places and possession of a Schedule III drug (Trenbolone).

Bond was not set.
