School officials and sheriff's office reach deal for deputies at school

LIVINGSTON, LA (WAFB) - In Livingston Parish, school leaders and the sheriff's office have reached an agreement to beef up security at schools.

The school board will reimburse the sheriff's office roughly $212,000 each year, which is about half the cost of five deputies.

The officers will begin work on campuses in August.
