BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge got an early start on Earth Day celebrations with a big event over the weekend.
Hundreds gathered in the city's downtown area to spread the message of saving the earth. The theme for this year's Earth Day festival is 'Be the Change.'
Over 400 volunteers were out and about educating folks on ways to "Go Green."
The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970 is credited with starting the modern environmental movement.
