Four people stabbed in 3 separate incidents

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Four people were stabbed in three separate incidents overnight in Middle Tennessee.

Police swarmed a home in Portland just after midnight after detectives said two people were stabbed at a party on Old Highway 109 an hour earlier.

Those two people suffered minor injuries.

Officers searched the area for the suspect, but no arrests have been made. The sheriff's office initiated extra patrols in the area as a precaution.

Second stabbing

Metro police think an argument led to a stabbing in the 1100 block of Horton Avenue in Nashville late Thursday night.

Investigators said two men were arguing at a home around 10:55 p.m. when one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the other in the stomach.

He was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, but police think he'll survive his injuries.

Police said the suspect, a 63-year-old man, fled on foot.

Third stabbing

A woman with stab wounds was found near the intersection of Lafayette and First streets early Friday morning.

The stabbing occurred around 12:25 a.m.

Police said a woman was arguing with a man when the woman was cut across the palm of her hand. The victim was taken to Baptist Hospital.

Police said the woman was uncooperative and would not provide any information about her attacker.
