Poll worker accused of voter fraud appears in court

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Hamilton County poll worker accused of voter fraud appeared in court Wednesday.

Melowese Richardson, 58, was charged with eight counts of illegal voting, stemming from the 2013 presidential election.

 

The prosecutor's office says Richardson voted twice on her own behalf and seven times on behalf of her relatives in various elections.

 

Richardson has served as a poll worker in Hamilton County for at least 14 years. 

She was in court on Wednesday for a plea or trial setting. The attorneys in the case met with the judge, who scheduled another hearing for May 9th.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
