BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

The judge has recused himself in the case of a man who never served his sentence after being convicted in a fatal crash nearly 20 years ago.

Judge Thomas Kliebert recused himself from the case involving Stanley White.

White was convicted of negligent homicide after investigators said he caused a crash in July 1994 that killed an 11-week-old infant.

Almost two decades later, White has yet to serve any of his two-year sentence.

The State Attorney General's office had asked that White be ordered to report to prison to serve his original sentence.

Judge Jessie Leblanc has been assigned to rule on the motion to have White sent to prison immediately.

There is no word on when she plans to hear the case or rule on the matter.
