24-year-old shot while running from 3 men

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A north Nashville man was shot in the back Thursday night while trying to run from a trio of men.

The shooting occurred around 10:15 p.m. on Ed Temple Boulevard.

Police said a 24 year-old man was getting out of his sport utility vehicle when he was approached by three people. One of the men was armed with a handgun.

The victim started to flee and the gunman shot him in the back. The attackers then fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center with injuries.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
