Legislators hears testimony from those affected by hospital closure

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The regular session of the Louisiana Legislature continues, with lawmakers facing some tough decisions ahead.

One decision already made by Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration is the closure of Earl K. Long Hospital as part of its affiliation with LSU.

Members of the House Appropriations Committee heard dramatic public testimony Wednesday morning from many of those affected by the shutdown.
