LSU Outclasses Kentucky Again 9-1

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Tigers starter Ryan Eades fired a four-hitter, facing just five batters over the minimum through eight and two thirds innings, and every batter in the LSU lineup had at least one hit, as the Tigers followed Friday night's 14-hit effort with 16 on Saturday in a 9-1 victory over Kentucky. LSU (29-2, 10-1 SEC) has won eleven straight games and freshman shortstop Alex Bregman extended his hitting streak to 19 with a 3-for-4 night. Eades retired 14 consecutive batters from the first to the fifth innings, while the Tigers scored in every frame but the first during that stretch. A four-run third inning featured a two-run double by Mason Katz, the nation's RBI leader with 53. Eades, who had a shutout until two outs in the ninth, gave up just four singles and struck out six Wildcats, allowing just one walk. Freshman Hunter Devall got the final out for LSU, which wraps up the series Sunday at noon.
