BRAVE unit arrests 3, confiscate over 100 bags of heroin

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

According to Baton Rouge Police, the BRAVE unit arrested three accused drug dealers in a Walmart parking lot Thursday night.

The arrests were made after 29-year-old Kevin Evans, 24-year-old Adrien Butler, and 24-year-old Khristopher Payton were trying to sell and distribute narcotics. Baton Rouge police say the three were inside a vehicle when members of the BRAVE team made the arrest.

Evans was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of hydrocodone.

Butler was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of powder cocaine.

Payton was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver powder cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and resisting an officer.

The arrestees were booked and placed in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
