Ceremony held for troops heading overseas


A special ceremony was held at Franklin High School for soldiers heading off to war.

The Ohio Army National Guard's 437th Military Police Battalion in Columbus attended their Call to Duty ceremony on Friday.

The battalion is deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

In total, 72 soldiers were honored during the event.

They will train at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center in Mississippi before deployment.
