Conviction and sentence upheld in strip club parking lot murder

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Louisiana appellate court has upheld the conviction and life sentence of a man who beat another man to death in the parking lot of a strip club.

Zachary Pusch, 22, of St. Amant, claimed evidence presented at in his trial was insufficient to support the jury's decision.

The 1st Circuit Court of Appeal in Baton Rouge rejected the claim.

He was found guilty of second-degree murder for killing Willis Tanner IV, 28, in May 2011.

It happened outside a now-closed strip club in Ascension Parish.
