BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - A group against the creation of a breakaway school district in East Baton Rouge Parish will meet Tuesday evening.
Members of One Community, One School District (OCOSD) will gather at the Bluebonnet Library at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public.
Members said they will be discussing their plans to fight the bills that have been filed for the upcoming legislative session to create and fund the breakaway school district in Southeast Baton Rouge.
State Rep. Edward "Ted" James, D-Baton Rouge, will also discuss his proposed legislation to allow parents to petition the state to take schools back from the Recovery School District.
