Reward increased for most wanted fugitive

The reward for Juan Jose Villa, 36, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender has increased to $15,000 for information leading to his arrest if the tip comes in during the month of April. Villa has an extensive criminal history and is currently wanted for indecency with a child by sexual contact, deadly conduct and failure to register as a sex offender. Texas Crime Stoppers tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Villa, who has been wanted since 2008, has family in the San Antonio area, and his last known address was in Floresville, Texas. He has worked as an auto mechanic, tire repairman and floor stripper/buffer. His criminal history from Texas and Wisconsin includes indecency with a child by exposure, deadly conduct, theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and evading arrest or detention.

Villa is 5 feet 10 inches and was last known to weigh approximately 240 pounds. He has multiple scars, including on the insides of both wrists and over his left eyebrow. He also has burn scars on his chest, both shoulders and entire back. For more information about Villa, view his bulletin at:

One offender from the Texas 10 Most Wanted Program is featured each month in hopes the higher reward money from the Governor's Criminal Justice Division will generate additional tips. The higher reward amount will only be paid if the tip comes in the same month the fugitive is featured. All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook tip messages are anonymous.

Anyone with information can provide anonymous tips in four different ways:

•     Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

•     Text the letters DPS—followed by your tip—to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.

•     Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.

•     Submit a Facebook tip at by clicking the "SUBMIT A TIP" link (under the "About" section).
