The Dallas to New Orleans connection continues with Kenyon Coleman the latest Cowboys defensive player to sign with the Saints. New Orleans also signed quarterback Luke McCown.
Both players have signed one-year contracts.
Coleman joins former Cowboys linebacker Victor Butler who signed with the Saints on Thursday. Butler and Coleman will be reunited with new Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.
Coleman was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 2002 in the fifth round of the NFL Draft after playing his college football for the UCLA Bruins.
Last year Coleman played seven games, starting five and totaled 22 tackles. His season ended early with a torn triceps in his left arm (suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles) that required season-ending surgery.
McCown went to training camp with the Saints in 2012. He is a former fourth round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns and is entering his 10th year in the NFL.
McCown was a Louisiana Tech standout and has played for Cleveland, the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Last year's backup quarterback Chase Daniel signed with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this year.
