Sheriff's office creates school crisis response plan

NEW ROADS, LA (WAFB) - The Pointe Coupee Parish School Board now has a crisis response plan that was created by the sheriff's office.

It will cost $120,000 a year for three certified school resource officers in the school system.

The plan outlines new security recommendations that would hopefully better protect the school district's five campuses.

The sheriff gave the board the proposal Wednesday.
