WALKER, LA (WAFB) -

Transportation officials said the bridge on Cane Market Road in Walker will be closed until Saturday evening for emergency repairs.

The bridge is located on Cane Market (LA 1024) just east of Walker Road North (LA 447). Both lanes are closed. The bridge will reopen Saturday at 5 p.m.

Drivers are urged to avoid the closure. Detour signs are posted in the area.

Eastbound drivers should:

Head north on Walker Road North (LA 447)

Then east on Springfield Road (LA 1019)

Then south on Weiss Road (LA 63)

Then south on North Corbin Road (LA 449)

Westbound drivers should:

Head north on North Corbin Road (LA 449)

Then north on Weiss Road (LA 63)

Then west on Springfield Road (LA 1019)

Then south on Walker Road North (LA 447)
