Van slams into downtown Nashville building

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Nobody was injured when a driver lost control of a minivan and crashed into a storefront Friday evening in downtown Nashville.

The collision was reported after 6 p.m. along Church Street near Printer's Alley.

Police said the driver reported mechanical problems prior to the crash.

A cash loan business was damaged, and officers have not said if the driver would be cited.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
