ADDIS, LA (WAFB) - A suspect in a 2010 Addis murder for hire has been arrested. Karl Howard turned himself into the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Wednesday evening after deputies say he was in Atlanta, GA.
Howard is charged with the first degree murder of Corey Kitts in July 2010.
A bond hearing for Howard will be set within five days.
Earlier Wednesday, Judge Robin Free refused bond for the victim's wife Monique Kitts, who is charged with principle to first degree murder.
Deputies are still actively searching for one more suspect, Corey Knox, whose last known address is in Baker.
"Knox should be considered armed and dangerous, and now that we have Karl Howard, we will focus all our attention on finding Corey Knox," said Col. Richie Johnson with the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.
Deputies believe he is in the Baton Rouge area and are asking everyone to keep an eye out. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
