BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police have arrested a father on principal to second degree murder charges, and the man's son is wanted on second degree murder charges. This comes after a man was beaten with a board in January for trying to break up a fight between his sister and her ex-boyfriend.
Police say Lionell Trumble, 60, was beaten with a board on January 5th on Ozark Street in Baton Rouge when he tried to intervene in a fight between his sister and Shedrick L. Lobrano, 51.
Shedrick L. Lobrano and his son, Shedrick D. Lobrano, 24, were arrested shortly after the beating. Both were charged with attempted second degree murder and were released on bond.
Trumble died of his injuries on March 12. He had been hospitalized since the January attack.
After Trumble's death, the charges for Shedrick D. Lobrano (son) were upgraded to second degree murder. Charges for Shedrick L. Lobrano (father) were upgraded to principal to second degree murder.
