An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper who was injured in a crash on I-75 last month has been released from the hospital.
Brent Hill, 26, was hit by a car while he and his field training offer were investigating a separate crash involving a drunk driver on northbound I-75 in Lebanon on Feb. 27.
Road conditions were icy at the time and Hill was standing outside his vehicle.
Lt. Matt Hamilton with OSP's Lebanon Post says its too soon to say when Hill will be back to work and that he has a long recovery ahead.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. So far, no charges have been filed.
Hill is a newly commissioned trooper assigned to the Lebanon post. He
was awarded 'Top performance in firearms' during a graduation ceremony
on Feb. 8, 2013. Each graduate spends their first 60 working days in a
field-training period under the guidance of a veteran officer.
