PORT ALLEN, LA (WAFB) -
A woman accused in the murder of her husband at their home almost three years ago appeared Wednesday before a judge.
Judge Robin Free denied bail to Monique Kitts during a hearing that lasted hours.
Judge free said her Kitts' release would make her a threat to others.
A trial date has not been set.
Kitts was arrested last week and charged in the murder of her husband, Corey Kitts.
Investigators said he was shot three times at his Addis home in the summer of 2010. They believe he was asleep when he was shot.
Two men were also indicted in the murder. Karl Howard was arrested Wednesday and booked into West Baton Rouge Parish Prison. Corey Knox is still on the run. He is believed to be in the Baton Rouge area.
