BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
One person is dead and two others were wounded in a shooting Thursday night.
The shooting happened in the 2300 block of Georgia Street in Baton Rouge, which is near the LSU lakes, around 9:15 p.m.
The deceased victim has been identified as 29-year-old Christopher Fountain of Baton Rouge. The other shooting victims are 47 and 18 years of age. Their identities have not been released. All three victims were taken to the hospital after the shooting. The conditions of the other two victims is unknown at this time.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said two vehicles were involved in the shooting.
Investigators said one of the vehicles ended up at Buchanan Street and Thomas H. Delpit Drive. The other vehicle wound up on East Washington Street in front of the Leo Butler Center.
The shooting is still under investigation. Baton Rouge Police say the motive for this shooting is unknown at this time.
