Gov. Jindal wants to cut state income tax and raise state sales tax

Gov. Jindal wants to cut the state's income and corporate taxes and raise the state sales tax during the upcoming legislative session.  Opponents of the plan say the plan isn't tax reform, just a shift in the burden of taxes.  WAFB's Jim Shannon will have more tonight on 9News at 5.

Later on 9News at 6:  Residents in a north Baton Rouge neighborhood say every time it rains, raw sewage comes gushing out, covering lawns, settling in ditches.  They say they can't even flush their toilets during storms.  WAFB's Cheryl Mercedes will have more tonight on 9News at 6.
