OPELOUSAS, LA (WAFB) -
An Opelousas woman has been arrested for allegedly sending sexual messages to a 10 year old boy.
Detectives say Gabrielle Fontenot, 18, admitted to sending the messages to the boy, as well as other kids.
"We want to encourage parents to be proactive in looking at what your child is engaging in, not only online but on their mobile devices as well," said Captain Megan Vizena with the St. Landry Sheriff's Office.
Fontenot has been charged with one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
