BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
According to Baton Rouge Police two different robberies over
the past three days with very similar facts involved in both cases.
The latest
happened Monday morning at around 5:30 when Mike's Donut Shop on Jefferson
Highway was robbed. Police say a man walked into the store with a handgun,
demanded cash, then fled on foot.
Police describe him as a black male wearing a
gray hoodie in his twenties.
On Saturday morning, the Mary Lee's on Florida was robbed. The suspect had a similar
description in this case as well.
Baton Rouge Police stopped short of connecting the two
crimes.
"It's still early on," says Cpl. Tommy Stubbs of the Baton Rouge Police Department. "I don't know if these two crimes are related or not. It's
something that we do look at in an investigation like this."
Police are asking anyone with any information to call crime
stoppers at 344-STOP.
